Raising alpacas is fun and interesting. There are so
many things that are unique to alpacas and they are ever-so
endearing and cute. Even so, breeding and raising Suri Alpacas
has commercial potential as well. We have chosen to take up the
opportunity to make this a commercial venture and not just a hobby. Commercially, the industry is in the breeding phase of its lifecycle - focusing on improving quality of the animals, growing the numbers of quality animals, determining and establishing markets for the fleece and products.

We have been involved with breeding/farming Suri Alpacas since late 2006. In March 2007, we moved our animals to our property, at Apata (Tauranga, Bay of Plenty).
It has been rewarding developing the property to meet our alpaca farming needs and requirements – fencing, yards, weed eradication, etc. We now have a property ready to further advance our operation and we are looking forward to the years ahead and the growth of our herd.

We are passionate about the Suri Alpaca industry and are always keen to learn more about Alpacas, lifestyle block farming, etc, and take every opportunity to do so when it arises. We work with other breeders and industry experts, learning, sharing, assisting, and networking to provide quality services and animals. If you are interested in being involved, we’d love to help. We enjoy working with like minded people and are more than willing to share knowledge and offer a wide range of services.
